Meet the Owners

Two people standing outside in front of a brick building with a sign that reads '615 BRIGGS'. The man on the left is wearing a white long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, a white cap, and sunglasses. The woman on the right is wearing a light pink sleeveless top and light gray pants. Their reflections are visible in the glass doors.

Hugo was born and raised in Argentina and left there shortly after High School to look for better opportunities abroad. Since he was a grandchild of German descent, he held German Nationality and moved to Germany. The German government got him housing, taught him German and got him work in a restaurant where Hugo’s interest in cooking took hold. After a few years in Munich Hugo decided to move to Alicante Spain and invested in his first restaurant.

Victoria was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. Hugo and Victoria met in Alicante Spain in 2006 while she was studying abroad through CU-Boulder. Hugo had opened his first bar and restaurant called Carpe Diem where Victoria hung out often. Victoria and Hugo would spend the summer after her semester together. They would then spend 3 months in each others country until Victoria graduated. They moved to San Pedro Belize in 2008 and opened their first restaurant together. Four years later they built two more restaurants in a luxury resort nearby.

Inspired by working internationally, and aiming to be able to provide to a variety of diets, Victoria & Hugo opened the doors of Piripi and built the building that is known as 615 Briggs in August of 2020.
